September 16th, 2018.

Typhoon Mangkhut was one of the strongest typhoons to ever hit Hong Kong. Heavy curtains of rain and fierce slashes of wind hit the city for what felt like an eternity. What separated the people of Hong Kong and mother nature were only thin layers of glass and steel reinforcements.

When the next rays of light finally arrived, the extent of destruction was evident. Windows shattered, trees uprooted, roads damaged from flooding, among other extensive damage. Hong Kong was in for a long recovery.

After Sixteen compromises of photographs documenting the rebuilding efforts Hong Kong experienced immediately after Mangkhut passed. It is an objective archive of Hong Kong at its most unorganised.
